Our Commitment

DLC is committed to fostering a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace where all employees feel valued, respected and energized. We’re building a new table together where each employee can bring their whole selves to work and our company is reflective of the communities we serve.

From introducing internal programs and trainings to support our employees to investing in community partners and suppliers, we’re looking forward to progressing our DEI initiatives.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Report

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council

 One way we drive diversity, equity and inclusion is through employee organizations. The DEI Council powers community, culture and talent engagement through speakers, trainings and cultural events held for employees to raise awareness and create new ideas for how we can be more inclusive as a company.

Business Employee Resource Groups

Business Employee Resource Groups (BERGs) are voluntary, employee-led groups which support and drive DEI efforts at DLC through engagement, networking, leadership, volunteerism and special initiatives. In 2020, we launched three BERGs including EmpowerHer, focused on women in energy; A-VETS, which supports military veterans; BRIDGE, for Black and African Americans; and PRISM, for employees who identify as LGBTQ+.

Supplier Diversity

We're committed to supporting the growth and development of local and regional diverse suppliers. We strive to promote inclusive, equitable and socially responsible business practices and reflect in our supplier base the diversity of the communities we serve. We ensure diverse suppliers are properly informed of our supplier qualification process and are treated equally in all dealings with DLC.
