We make the process of changing service as easy as flipping a switch.

All service requests are processed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the date you select.

Start Service

Click the Start Service button if you are: 
1) A new customer starting service
2) Adding another service address in your name 
3) Have not had active service for more than 30 days

Please Note: 
If the service is currently OFF at the location you are requesting new service, please ensure that the main breaker at this location is in the OFF position. For safety reasons, service will not be connected until the main breaker is in the OFF position. Please also make sure DLC has access to your meter. Once your order is completed, be sure to flip your main breaker back ON, or put the main fuse back IN.

START SERVICE

Stop Service

Click the Stop Service button if you are stopping existing service within the next 30 days or if you are transferring existing service and the start date of the new address is greater than 30 days from the stop date of the current address. Service requests are processed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on the date you select.

Move Service

Stop service at your current address and start service at a new address within 30 days of each other.

Please Note: If your stop and start service request dates are more than 30 days from each other, complete a Stop Service request at your current address and then a Start Service request at your new address.

Transfer Service

Transferring Service to Someone Else

Step 1: Complete a Stop Service request. 
Step 2: The other party will need to start service in their name. 

Transferring Service into Your Name

Step 1: Complete a Start Service request in your name at the address. 
Step 2: No further action is required from the other party.
