Website Resource Helps Customers Manage, Conserve Energy Usage

PITTSBURGH – October is Energy Action Month and Duquesne Light Company (DLC) is encouraging customers to learn more about how to conserve energy as the colder winter months approach. Through the comprehensive Home Energy Center, found on the Duquesne Light website, the company provides energy efficiency tools and resources for all customers looking to reduce energy consumption.

“Conserving energy can sometimes be a challenge for our customers,” said David Defide, Manager, Customer Programs for Duquesne Light. “To help make it easier, the online Home Energy Center compiles some of the best tools, tips and resources for energy conservation and is accessible to all customers.”

The Home Energy Center contains a variety of easy-to-use tools that help customers view and manage their energy consumption. In addition, several resources, such as energy savings calculators and an efficient product marketplace, are available to help customers make informed energy decisions and purchases.

Energy Action Month, recognized by the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency & Renewable Energy each October, was established to promote energy optimization, storage and security amongst energy agencies, like electric utilities.
