Duquesne Light offers support and funding to many worthwhile causes, projects and organizations throughout the regions we serve. In addition to monetary support, our employees lend thousands of hours of volunteer service in an effort to make a difference throughout the communities in which we live and work.
Continuing in the tradition of giving back, on August 4, 18 members of the Duquesne Light leadership team participated in United Way’s third annual Build-A-Bike event at Heinz Field.
Duquesne Light employees joined more than 200 adult volunteers to build bikes for 100 community children. Volunteers spent the afternoon working side-by-side with local children to assemble the bikes, which for many was their very first bike. They also enjoyed conversation over lunch and created personalized license plates together.
Duquesne Light is proud to provide continued support to the United Way of Allegheny County.
