Six months after the launch of its Larger than Light integrated multimedia marketing campaign, featuring a new logo, Duquesne Light is hitting a milestone in its brand transition with a powerful new sign on the rooftop of its downtown headquarters. The bolt is the universal symbol of electricity and signifies the Company’s relentless commitment to innovation, along with the youthful orange color, which represents progress and forward motion.
The new sign is made from 507 square feet of aluminum and weighs more than 1,500 pounds. It is powered using approximately 160kWh/month from an electrical panel on the 16th floor and was lit for the first time on Tuesday, January 31. New LED technology provides the opportunity to change the color of the sign in celebration of various observances throughout the year. The existing sign had been in place since 2004, and will be recycled.
