Today, Duquesne Light was named a 2017 Most Trusted Brand in a Cogent Reports™ study by Market Strategies International. The study, Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement™: Residential, is a web-based survey among residential electric and natural gas utility customers of the 130 largest U.S. utility companies.  DLC ranked second in the East Region and 11th among the 61 electric utilities that were part of the study.

“DLC’s work on repositioning its brand through a new logo has paid off,” said Chris Oberle, senior vice president at MSI.  “Our study shows DLC has the utility industry’s second-highest awareness of customers recalling your new logo.”

The study measures Brand Trust through scoring six factors – Customer Focus, Company Reputation & Advocacy, Community Support, Communications Effectiveness, Environmental Dedication and Reliable Quality. Utilities designated as Most Trusted Brands scored 40 points higher on brand trust than their industry peers.
