Lineworkers are Pittsburgh’s unsung heroes, whose bravery and sacrifice keeps the lights on and powers the Larger than Light moments in our customers’ lives. Monday, July 10, is National Lineworker Appreciation Day as designated by the Edison Electrical Institue (EEI) and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). In recognition, Duquesne Light will take to Facebook and Twitter to thank lineworkers and show Pittsburgh the faces of those who work tirelessly behind the lines by highlighting various lineworkers throughout the week.
Duquesne Light Company is joining utilities nationwide in honoring the men and women lineworkers who work tirelessly behind the lines to power the country 24 hours a day, seven days a week and 365 days a year by using #ThankALineworker on Facebook and Twitter.
