Duquesne Light’s Supply Chain group recently wrapped up a summer donation drive for Humane Animal Rescue in which numerous employees donated a variety of animal and pet-related items.

Donated items included dog and cat food, pet toys, dog bones, cleaning products and more. “As a huge animal lover, it feels good to help this local shelter that relies on donations in order for the animals to thrive,” said Nena Uhler, Administrative Coordinator I.

Humane Animal Rescue is one of the largest animal welfare associations in Pennsylvania – formed by the merger of the former Animal Rescue League and the Western Pennsylvania Humane Society – and is tasked with providing enhanced services to domestic and wild animals alike.

The Supply Chain group hosts several collection and donation drives throughout the year.  The next drive is set to benefit the Community Food Bank.
