On Saturday, May 4, Duquesne Light employees gave community members and local children an up-close-and-personal experience with one of the Company’s bucket trucks during the Plum Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural Touch-A-Truck event. They helped supervise children as they climbed inside the bucket truck as well as answered questions from attendees.
The event, which was held at Plum Senior High School, featured various trucks and vehicles for children of all ages to explore and experience, including garbage trucks, backhoes, an Allegheny County Police SWAT vehicle and a Life Flight helicopter. It also featured games, vendors, raffles and various food trucks. Visitors were able to ride a monster truck and also received a special visit from the Pirate Parrot.
Proceeds benefitted the Plum Chamber of Commerce’s outreach programs.
