On Thursday, April 5, Duquesne Light will host an informational networking session for the Company’s Electrical Distribution Technology (EDT) program at the Westin Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the EDT program, which teaches the skills and knowledge needed to apply for skilled craft positions in the electrical utility industry.
The event, to be held from 5-7 p.m., also will provide an opportunity to network with DLC employees who oversee the program. To register, visit the following link and enter requisition ID 11041.
Deadline to apply for EDT program approaching
As a reminder, the deadline to apply for the 2018-19 EDT program is Monday, April 30.
Participants in the program will be exposed to the theoretical and practical aspects of working in an electric utility. This includes general education courses like math, introduction to information technology and AC theory, as well as the practical elements of working in overhead, underground and substation maintenance.
