American Red Cross 

  • The American Red Cross provides resources to help people prepare for and respond to emergencies. Download the Red Cross Emergency App for real-time alerts about severe weather and emergencies and order Free emergency preparedness education is also available, and customers can request a free smoke alarm or more information by calling 412‑263‑5278. 
SNAP Benefits 

  • Pennsylvania SNAP recipients who lose food due to a power outage or other household emergency can apply for replacement benefits through the PA Department of Human Services by submitting a replacement affidavit via COMPASS or the myCOMPASS PA app, or by contacting their County Assistance Office.
